If you read my posts on a regular basis you already know that my next album is in the works. To let you all in on my new ventures I have uploaded a teaser over at myspace straight from the musical melting pot. It is a tender love song called 'Slow'. Even though it is raw and unmixed I am both proud and pleased to admit that I am already more than happy with the result. Enjoy! Go to myspace here.

"When working with music you never know what hand destiny might deal you" somebody might or might not have said ;-) Either way this was very much the case when my band and I had the first sessions for my second album which I am proud to announce is now officially in the works.


<< humming away / the tape recorder (which we did not use)

My initial concept for the sessions which took place in the legendary Sauna Recording Studio in Copenhagen was to make it like an extraordinary rehearsal. By that I meant that we should approach the new material in an experimental and playful manner. I figured this would be a great way for me to get a lot of different sounds on "tape". Sounds that I could later turn into finished arrangements in my home studio. To my great surprise and satisfaction these experiments sounds a lot more like finished songs than I had dared to hope for. So maybe the road to completion won´t be as bumpy as I had once dreaded. Soon, I'm going to upload a few un-finished-un-mixed-work-in-progress samples. Talk to you later!

The coming saturday (jan 23) my band and I are playing a semi intimate midnight concert at Lades Kælder in Copenhagen. I will be playing selected songs from my first album, a few unreleased ones and a surprise cover or two. My dear harmonica rocking tambourine shaking friends Straight From The Harp is playing before, so all in all it´s a sure bet. Kick your christmas blues, the January cold and your winter worries too! This fall two (!) Danish TV shows will be providing motion pictures to 'Collector' songs. We are talking about TV2´s 'Lærkevej', first airing on September 24 and
TV3´s 'Lulu & Leon' which will debut somewhat later this fall. So watch and listen carefully!

Malmö here we come! On March 25. we will be playing at legendary Swedish producer Tore Johanssons new studio/club 'INSTEAD OF GOSPEL' on Nordenskiöldsgatan 19 in Malmö. The following Saturday I will be DJ´ing with my old friend Jonas Struck (ex-Swan-Lee). The theme of the night is ANIMALS. Expect something wild! Today I put finishing touches on the website erdesjaeldne.dk which I have made in collaboration with Jan Krogh and Sigrun Gudbrandsdottir (known for her work with 'Ingen Frygt')

March 14 I will be playing support for KIRA AND THE GHOSTRIDERS´ homecoming concert at Pumpehuset Copenhagen. Amazing Christian Bech (Pleasure Machine), Anders Wallin (The Gun) and Emil de Waal (+) will be joining me on stage.

It´s christmas time. Can you believe it!? I´m working on assorted university assignments, but luckily it looks as if there might be time for some new recordings soon and I can´t wait.

Double shows with protest singer Per Kristensen coming up this November. One is at 'Blågårds Apotek' in Copenhagen and one is at Dexter in Odense. My set will be a duo performance with guitar slinger Rune Kjeldsen.
